Privacy Policy

Overview

Mar7ianWeb is an independent editorial project run by a single amateur operator (reachable at kingofire2@gmail.com), not a registered company. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect when you visit Mar7ianWeb (the “Site”) and how it is used.

Data controller

The data controller for this Site is its independent operator, reachable at kingofire2@gmail.com for any question about this policy or your data.

Information we collect

The Site has no user accounts and no forms that collect personal data from visitors.

  • Analytics data: we use Google Analytics (GA4) to collect aggregated usage data such as pages visited, device type, and approximate geographic area. These scripts are loaded only after you give explicit consent via the cookie banner shown on your first visit — if you decline or ignore the banner, no Google Analytics script is ever loaded.
  • Visit counter: we count visits and visitors per day, in aggregate, with our own counter, using no cookies and storing nothing on your device. The server receives only the page path and derives an anonymous fingerprint (a hash with a secret salt and the date) used solely to avoid counting the same visitor twice on one day; it is deleted after two days and your IP address is not stored. “Do Not Track” is honoured.
  • Advertising: the Site uses Google AdSense. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, Google shows its own certified consent message (IAB TCF) before using cookies or data for personalized ads. If you don’t consent, Google may show non-personalized or limited ads. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on visits to this and other sites: how Google uses data and ad settings.
  • Content from external services: Pokémon thumbnails load from cdn.jsdelivr.net and Fortnite item images from fortnite-api.com. To show them, your browser connects to these services, which receive your IP address as with any image on the web.

Legal basis for processing

For visitors in the European Economic Area, processing via non-essential cookies (analytics and advertising) relies on your explicit consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)): we collect it for analytics with our banner, Google collects it for ads with its own message. You can change or withdraw the two choices at any time from the Site footer: “Analytics cookies” for statistics and “Ad preferences” for advertising (Google’s message appears only where it applies).

Cookies

  • Essential cookies: none at this time. The Site requires no login and uses no first-party technical cookies for its core functionality.
  • Analytics cookies (optional): set by Google Analytics only after consent, to understand how the Site is used and to improve it.
  • Advertising cookies (optional): set by Google AdSense and its partners according to the choices you make in Google’s consent message.

International data transfers

Google (provider of Analytics and advertising) may process data on servers located outside the European Economic Area, under its own safeguards and standard contractual clauses. See Google’s own privacy policy for details.

Your rights

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:

  • access the data we hold about you;
  • request its rectification or erasure;
  • restrict or object to its processing;
  • request data portability;
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal;
  • lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

Children’s privacy

The Site is not directed at children under 16 and does not knowingly collect personal data from them.

YouTube API Services

The Mar7ianWeb operator also publishes videos on his own YouTube channels (Mar7ianFortnite and a Pokémon channel). For this the operator uses a private publishing tool that connects to YouTube API Services (YouTube Data API v3) through Google’s OAuth, only with the operator’s own Google account and only for his own channels. The tool uploads videos and, for one channel, reads basic channel information. It does not collect, store or share data about visitors of this Site or about any other YouTube user, and it is not offered to third parties.

By using YouTube features you are also bound by the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. The access granted to the tool can be revoked at any time in Google’s security settings.

TikTok API Services

The Mar7ianWeb operator also publishes videos on his own TikTok account. For this the operator uses a private publishing tool that connects to TikTok through Login Kit and the Content Posting API, only with the operator’s own TikTok account and only for his own videos. The tool sends the chosen video and checks the publish status. After consent it keeps only an access token for the operator’s account: it does not collect, store or share data about visitors of this Site or about any other TikTok user, and it is not offered to third parties. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated over time, particularly when the services that process data change (analytics, advertising, external services). The date of the last update is noted at the bottom of this page.
