The four classes
- Soldier: gun damage.
- Constructor: tougher buildings and objective defense.
- Ninja: melee and high mobility.
- Outlander: resource gathering and gadgets.
How a squad works
The commander is the hero you play in missions and gives the main bonus. Support heroes add their effects to the commander. The team perk is an extra bonus that turns on with certain heroes or combinations.
Practical tip: pick a squad you like and put your resources there. Raising many heroes a little each slows you down.
The picks that come up most in 2026
These are the heroes named by several guides updated in 2026 (sources below). Rankings change with updates: treat them as a starting point.
- B.A.S.E. Kyle (Constructor): the most recommended pick for beginners and for defense. Makes buildings much tougher. Supports often named: Mega B.A.S.E. Kyle and Power B.A.S.E. Knox.
- Rescue Trooper Ramirez (Soldier): a steady weapon damage bonus, fine in almost every mission.
- Paleo Luna (Ninja): melee that scales with health, strong in the endgame.
- Archaeolo-Jess and Clip (Outlander): the favorite picks for gathering resources fast.
If you are new
- Start with a Constructor: defenses hold better and missions get easier.
- Keep a second hero for gathering resources, for when you need to stock up.
- Before spending rare materials, check the hero fits the squad you will actually use.
